1. Provider (Owner) Protection
We understand that your assets—whether a high-end camera, a vehicle, or your professional time—are valuable. Here is how we may protect them:
Verified Renter Profiles
Every renter must pass our “Know Your Customer” (KYC) check. We verify NRIC/Passports and active Malaysian mobile numbers to ensure accountability if an item is not returned.
Customizable Security Deposits
For high-value equipment, Providers can set a mandatory security deposit. This amount is authorized on the renter’s card/eWallet and held until the item is returned in good condition.
Digital Handover Protocols
Our platform facilitates a “Condition Report” at pickup. Providers can upload real-time photos of the item’s condition to our server, serving as undeniable evidence in case of damage disputes.
Legal Rental Agreements
Every booking generates a digital rental summary that acts as a binding agreement under Malaysian law, protecting your rights as an owner or service provider.
2. Renter (Client) Protection
Rent with confidence. We ensure you get exactly what you paid for, or your money back.
Escrow Payment System
Your payment (via TNG or FPX) is held in a secure iRent Trust Account. We do not release funds to the Provider until the rental period starts, protecting you from “ghost” listings.
Listing Accuracy Guarantee
If a product is broken, significantly different from the photos, or a service provider fails to show up, iRent.my will facilitate an immediate full refund or a replacement item.
Service Quality Standards
For service rentals (e.g., manpower/operators), we monitor “Response Time” and “Completion Rate.” Only high-performing providers are allowed to maintain active listings.
3. Corporate Integrity & Compliance
PC Rent Sdn Bhd (1051137-H) operates with full transparency under Malaysian regulations.
- PDPA Compliance: We follow the Personal Data Protection Act 2010. Your NRIC and contact data are encrypted and never sold to 3rd parties.
- Dispute Resolution: In the rare event of a disagreement, our dedicated Malaysian-based support team acts as a neutral mediator to reach a fair resolution based on provided evidence.
- Anti-Fraud Monitoring: Our system uses AI to detect unusual booking patterns or suspicious listing activity, flagging them for human review before they go live.
